You can spend countless thousands on gear and lessons and all the rest. You can learn to play a million notes a minute; and never have the Rhythm down. But in the end it all boils down to one thing, making a connection with the People. And if the People are not moving their feet, tapping them to the beat, if they aren’t dancing, and having a good time, then you missed the point of the whole thing. Better you should have bought an iPod and dance lessons. I can get people up and dancing all night with just an old cheap Guitar playing but one chord [or not more than three]and lots of Rhythm, you can’t do that with even a million blazing fast notes and all that expensive equipment.
